Transportation wrap up!

Hey gang sorry this is a little late. Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! As you recall last week was Transportation Week and boy did we have a lot of fun!
We had a rainy day last week so we decided to have an in home Drive In Movie Theater! Complete with popcorn of course.

The rain didn't last long so the next day we were outside playing in a car wash for all of his little vehicles. Sebastian had fun splashing in the bubbles and discovering what was hiding underneath. Of course though the carwash turned into a Sebastian wash.
Another nice day turned into another great day to play outside! This time it was the space ship that Michael made! At first Sebastian was a little unsure about it but he soon realized how much fun he could have with a big box space shuttle!
Arts and Crafts are always fun so we had a day where we placed various vehicle stickers on to his picture that he colored. Foam stickers are so much fun and you could find just about every shape and object imagiable!
And now for this week's theme. As I am sure more people know next Monday is the total Solar Eclipse that will be most visable in parts United States. So in honor of such a rare occasion this week's theme is all about Space!
Can't wait to see what everyone does this week for Space! See you guys on Friday for the wrap up!

Quick Update!

Hey gang just a little update! This week's wrap up will happen on Monday along with what our new theme will be next week! We went out of town to go to Comicon and some of the pictures I don't have.

Yesterday we went to the zoo and Sebastian came home with a new Sloth friend! For whatever reason Sebastian is in love watching the sloths and since he did such a great job walking around the zoo yesterday, he earned a new friend!
You can't really tell, but his shirt says S is for Sloths and came from the Rainforest Cafe (thanks Grandma for the awesome shirt!)
Anywho, today it's off to Comicon!
Sebastian is rocking his Star Wars shirt (also thanks to Grandma and Grandpa!)

See you tomorrow to see what everyone did for Transportation Week and to announce what we will be doing for the next theme!

Life is a Highway...

And I want to drive it all night long. Good afternoon on this rainy Monday everyone! Hope the weekend was fantastic!
This week it's all about transportation. Whether it be cars, boats, trains or planes if it can get you somewhere then it's the star this week! It seems like kids love vehicles so there is so much that can be done with this.
Some fun activities you can do is build a car out of all sorts of supplies depending on the child's age, make a car wash, build an airplane, play red light green light, have a drive in movie theater day at your house or if you have the real thing there, set up a track in your house, the list just goes on.
This weekend Sebastian had the opportunity to play in his space ship that Michael made for him. I'll post more later but here is a sneak peak.
When I was about Sebastian's age, my dad had made me a plane. Just by looking at those pictures I remember having so much fun playing in my plane.

It's one of my first childhood memories playing in my plane!
I'll see everyone Friday and can't wait to see the fun activities everyone has planned this week!

Shark Week Wrap Up!

Good afternoon everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful week and did some fun Shark activities! I know Sebastian and I had fun! Here is a week in review of the fun activities Sebastian and I did!
On Monday we created an underwater theme with crayons and felt stickers! Sebastian was quite understanding how to stick the stickers on so he would point to where he wanted them and I would stick them on for him. We also enjoyed some goldfish because who doesn't love goldfish!

On Tuesday we played with some home made Play-Doh! Sebastian wasn't really sure of it and much preferred to lick it.

On Wednesday I made Sebastian a shark hat. Though the hat wouldn't stay on long he did enjoy making shark noises!

Thursday was the perfect day to go swimming in our shark pool! Sebastian loves playing in the water and sticking his face in it! He also enjoyed jumping in the puddles as we drained the pool!

Today we made sharks out of our footprints! He started to color a background for it but playing with toys was way more fun.
And that wraps up our  Shark week! Sebastian and I hope everyone had as much fun as we did. For anyone who followed along please feel free to share what you and your little(s) did this week!
See everyone Monday for next week's fun theme!

The rest of the gang and this week's theme

Hello again everyone! Hope everyone had a great Monday. I'm back with this week's theme and to introduce the rest of the gang! First off introductions.

Meet Michael! He helps me come up with great adventures and builds me things when I need something extravagant.

And here are Sebastian's puppy sisters, Belle (the one he is playing with) and Jasmine (the one looking on). Now that he is on the move, they allow playtime with him in exchange for his snacks.
Now to the theme! Normally the theme will be introduced every Monday. So this week we will be celebrating...
SHARKS!!!!!!

Every day we will be doing a fun activity or craft that has to do with sharks. Some ideas you can do is swim, color an underwater picture, build an underwater theme with Play-Doh, make a shark find, or turn a foot print into a shark. Bonus points if you have a shark theme snack as well!
As you can see there is also a letter and number of the day. These activities can depend on the age of the child. For now I just show Sebastian the letter/ number and try to point out things that go with it. Here are some of the tools I use with him.
Thank you Target Hot Spot! Though I'm sure most know this but that front area in Target is a great place to find all sorts of fun, educational activities for kids of all ages. Just another piece of the Target Black Hole we so often get sucked into lol.
Alright that's it for now! Can't wait to see what everyone does with the theme this week!
See ya on Friday!
